A fatal hit and run accident claimed the life of a San Diego college student Wednesday night.
It happened in Carlsbad, at the intersections of Palomar Airport Road and Carlsbad Boulevard.
Police say the driver, a 17 year old girl, was allegedly drunk when she struck and killed 20-year-old Vinnie Zellefrow. The teenage driver fled the scene, but was found a mile south in a parking lot. She was driving a silver Chrysler Sedan and was arrested on accounts of vehicular man slaughter, felony hit and run, and felony drunk driving.
Zellefrow, a college student at Mira Costa, was reportedly skateboarding at the time of the hit and run accident.
